Baruch, a Schutzjude
(protected Jew) in Schriesheim
since 1653 and one of the first two
families to settle there after the Thirty Years' War,
married Heffela and had children: Herzgen, Joseph, and Zadok (1661). As
a result of the French
invasion during the Nine Years' War, Baruch fled first to Heidelberg
around 1688 and then to Mergentheim around 1693, where he died
- Herzgen lived in Schriesheim and died in the early 1700s.
- Joseph lived in Schriesheim and had a son, Löw. He died in
1694, the same year his father died.
- Löw had sons, Joseph and Lazarus, and died around 1760.
- Joseph had children: Samuel, Mordche (1748), and Löw.
He died in 1775. Following the surname adoptions
in 1809, Joseph's children and widowed wife took on
the surname OPPENHEIMER.
- Mordche OPPENHEIMER married Mindel KAUFMANN,
daughter of Feidel Lazarus of Rimbach, in Rimbach on 5 August 1778 and
children: Joseph, Simon (1783), and Täubche. In 1809, he took the
OPPENHEIMER. He died in 1819.
OPPENHEIMER married Frommet, daughter of Abraham SCHEY from Oberlust
near Germersheim, and had children: Guetel (1811), Ester (1813), Sprinz
(1820), and Jeanette. He died in 1838.
- Sprinz "Franziska" OPPENHEIMER married Joseph
KAUFMANN and died in 1855.
- Simon OPPENHEIMER married Regina MARX and had a
son, Löw. He died in 1854.
"Leopold" OPPENHEIMER married Frommet KRAMER, daughter of Daniel and
Amalia nee LUSHEIMER, in Schriesheim in 1845 and had a son, Simon
- Simon Hirsch OPPENHEIMER married Berta EMRICH
(1868) from Merchingen, daughter of Wolf Benjamin
and Sarah nee STRAUSS. After Berta died in 1924 in Schriesheim, Simon
immigrated to the United States and died in New York in 1957.
- Täubche OPPENHEIMER married Isaak KAUFMANN of
Rimbach, son of Feidel Lazarus, and had children: Joseph (1801), Löser
(1805), and Ester (1806).
- Lazarus settled in 1760 in Lützelsachsen and
probably later moved to Leutershausen.

in March 1689, he went to Schriesheim and drove his trade from
1693, he fled the French invasion and, by 1694, was back in
Schriesheim. He returned to Mannheim in 1697, where he died on 12
1723, followed by his wife in 1732. He and his descendants used the
surname SCHRIESHEIM until the official surname adoptions of 1809, after
which they used the name HEIMER.
SCHRIESHEIM married Miriam and had children:
Zadok, Liebmann, and Maier. He died in Mannheim in 1763.
SCHRIESHEIM married Vogel MAAS, daughter of
Salomon, and had a child, Nathan (1752). He died in Mannheim in 1782.
SCHRIESHEIM married Ruchel WETZLER, daughter of
Maier, and had children: Zodig (1784),
Vogel (1790), and Minche (1794). In 1806, he married
Brendle HACHENBURG. In the Mannheim surname adoption of 1809, the
the surname HEIMER. Nathan died in Mannheim in 1814.
- Minche HEIMER married Enoch SCHOTT, son of Hillel
Elisabeth, in 1823 and had children: Regina (1823), Hermann (1825),
Nathan (1826), Louisa (1828), Zodick Hirsch (1831), and Betti (1833).
Minche died in 1854 followed by Enoch in 1863.
SCHRIESHEIM married Ester GOLDSCHMIDT, daughter
of Herz, and had two children, including
Moses. After Liebmann's death in Mannheim in 1772,
Ester married Isak Josef
SCHRIESHEIM1 married Zerle
Maier Hayum, in Hardheim in 1763 (civil marriage) and had at least four
children, likely including:
Johanne (1760) and Braünle (1766). After Moses died, Zerle married
son of Isak, in Mannheim in 1769. Zerle died in 1803.
SCHRIESHEIM married Kosmann KANNSTADT, son of Nathan, and had children:
David (1788) and Abraham (1801). She died in Mannheim in 1845.
SCHRIESHEIM married Feiss EMRICH,
Josel, lived in Hemsbach, and had
children: Moses (1786), Liebmann (1792), Zipera (1795),
Abraham (1801), and Sara (1804). She died in Hemsbach in 1823.
- Maier SCHRIESHEIM married Rele and died in Mannheim in
SCHRIESHEIM had children: Liebmann and Gitel. He died in
Mannheim in 1740.
- Liebmann SCHRIESHEIM died in 1784.
- Gitel SCHRIESHEIM married Wolf GERBER, son of Löw, in
Mannheim in 1766.
