HOPFENMANN


Simson HOPFENMANN (1777), son of Meyer, married Sara from Oberlauring, daughter of Baruch, lived in Unsleben, and had children: Meyer (1810), Vogel (1812), Isaac (1815), Rikele (1818), and Zerlein (1820). The whole family (except Rikele who died as an infant) immigrated to the United States in 1839 (Meyer in about 1848) and settled in Cleveland, where the surname  became HOFFMAN.
