TUCH
Simson TUCH (1769), son of Moses, married Ester (1769), daughter of Joseph, lived in Unsleben,
and
had children: Moses (1799), Alexander (1806), Hanna (1809), and Nathan
(1812). Simson died in Unsleben in 1829 followed by Esther in
1851.
- Moses TUCH married Zipora WEIL from Merzbach in Unsleben in 1826
and had children: Fradel (1826), Jacob (1828), Simson (1831), Heinemann
(1833), Jochibeth (1835), Bavet (1838), and Rebeka (1842).
- Alexander TUCH (1806), a grocer, was from Unsleben,
Bavaria, immigrated
to America, and settled in Cleveland, Ohio. With his wife Jetta, he had
at least five children there: Simon (1841), Celia (1843), Fanny (1845),
Esther (1852), and Moses (1857).
- Fanny TUCH married Louis STRAUSS, a dry goods salesman,
and
had at least two daughters: Della (1870) and Mamie (1878).
- Moses TUCH, who worked for Knitting Works, died in
Cleveland in 1905.
- Nathan TUCH immigrated to America in 1837 and then
settled in
Cleveland.
After his wife died, he moved to California and settled in
San Gabriel. Here he married a Native American woman and owned a small
shop.
