Abraham, son of Simson, married Esther (1748), daughter of Liebmann,
lived in Unsleben
and had children: Simson (1786), Löb (1787), Kaufman, and Rifka.
Abraham died in Unsleben in about 1807. In 1817, when
Jews in Unsleben adopted permanent surnames, widowed Esther and her
children took
the name ROSENBAUM. Esther died in Unsleben in 1828.
Simson ROSENBAUM (1786), son of Abraham, married Rebecka,
daughter
of Sellig, and had children in Unsleben: Moses (1807), Abraham (1811),
Sellig (1814),
Kau? Simon (1815), Jendel (1818) Jakob, and Hanna (1821). Simson died
in Unsleben in 1845.
Moses
ROSENBAUM immigrated to America in 1839 and settled
in Cleveland,
Ohio. He married Jeanette NUSSBAUM in Cleveland in 1842 and had one
child: Dina (1844). He died in Cleveland in 1890.
Dina ROSENBAUM married Abraham WESKAWSKEY in Cleveland
in
1865.
Abraham
ROSENBAUM married Mina OCHS
in Cleveland
in 1843. They had at least six children: Jetta (1846), Asher (1849)
Therese (1852), Julia (1854), Sarah (1855), Simon (1858), and Isaac
(1860). He died in Cleveland in 1889.
Jetta ROSENBAUM married Nathan STRAUSS in Cleveland in
about 1863.
Therese ROSENBAUM remained single and died in 1933.
Julia ROSENBAUM married Louis STEIN in Cleveland in
about
1873 and died in 1919.
Sarah ROSENBAUM married Henry REISS in Cleveland in
about
1886.
Löb ROSENBAUM married Veichel KATZENBERGER from
Poppenlauer, daughter of Koppel and Maria, in Unsleben in 1828.
Kaufman
ROSENBAUM married Rechal WEIL, daughter of Simon, and had children:
Kussel Löb (1810), Hanna (1812), Sekel (1815), Golde (1817), Lipmann
(1820), Frummet (1820), Isaac (1822).
Rifka "Retta" ROSENBAUM married Hirsch KLEIN, son of
Aber, lived
in Unsleben, and had children: Abraham (1810), Judlein (1811),
Reichelein (1814), and Hanna (1817).
