History
The Jewish community of Sembach began in the 17/18th century. Jews were first recorded there in the Renovationsprotokoll der Schultheißerei Sembach in 1725, which listed the Jewish families of Burg, Nachtmann (later Nathan Loeb) and David Levi. For decades, the Jews of Sembach were buried in Mehlingen.
