Elias "Alex"
RUBIN
(1864), son of Hersch and Rebecca (likely nee ALPEROVICH), a fruit
merchant, married Esther
KAUFMAN ,
daughter of Josel and Chava nee ALPEROVICH,
and
immigrated to the United States in about 1885. They had five
children:
Katie (1890), Joseph (1891), David Bernard (1895), Sarah
(1898),
and Hyman (1903). Alex died in Brooklyn in 1935.

RUBIN married Abraham MOSKOWITZ from Dębica,
Austria, son of Herman and Mary nee MNASHE, in Brooklyn in
1908 and had five
children: Eva (1909),
Sidney Laurence (1912), Ruth (1914), Roslyn Ann (1919), and Marilyn
(1925). She died in 1961.
- Sidney Laurence MOSKOWITZ died in 1988.
- Roslyn Ann MOSKOWITZ died in 1977.
- Joseph
RUBIN married Czerna "Celia" ALMENOFF from Russia, daughter of Isidor
and Mary nee KOSHANSKY, in Brooklyn
in 1915 and had
two children: Evelyn (1914) and Irving (1919). Joseph died in 1974
followed
by Celia in 1976.
- Evelyn
RUBIN married Charles Bennett BLOCH, a famous cantor in Brooklyn.
Charles died
in 2005 followed by Evelyn in 2009.
- Irving
RUBIN married Florence.
- David
Bernard RUBIN married Victoria G. "Gertrude" LORIS from London,
England,
daughter of Louis and Adele nee
GARFINKEL, in Brooklyn in 1915 and had two children: Herbert (1917) and
Evelyn
(1922). David died in 1949 followed by Gertrude in 1970.
- Sarah
"Sue" RUBIN married Joseph L. "Louis" WOLFE from Corsd,
Lithuania, in Detroit, Michigan, in 1922. Joseph died
in 1974 followed by Sue in 1888.
- Hyman
"Herman Carl"
RUBIN married Diana PERLMAN from Russia, daughter of Samuel and Golde
nee GOLDMAN, in Brooklyn in 1922 and had two
children: Roslyn (1924) and Joan (1928). Herman died in 1958.
