OPPENHEIM
Löb OPPENHEIM "zum Riesen" Worms married Sorlen and had
children:
Mosche, Ziskind, Amschel, and Juzabel. After Löb died around
1572, Sorle moved with her sons Mosche and Juzabel from Worms
to Frankfurt, where she married Rabbi Amschel "zum Storch"1.
Sorle died in about 1580.

OPPENHEIM "zum Schwert" Frankfurt3
married a daughter of Gumpricht
(Isaak Ephraim) von Friedberg "zum Schwert" Frankfurt, son of Shlomo
and Hindche bat Hersch k"z, and Endlin, daughter of Isaac von Nauheim,
around 1571 and had children: Löb, Gumpricht, and Sorlen.
In about 1600, Mosche married Hindle, widow of Juzabel
haKohen,
daughter of Mihel Zons. Hindle died in 1624, followed
by Mosche in
1626.

(Josef Jehuda) OPPENHEIM "zum Schwert" Frankfurt
married Frumet BALLIN,
daughter of Abraham (Samuel) and Gutrad nee WORMS,
in Worms in 1595 and had children, including: Gumpricht, Simon Wolf, Herz,
Todres, Ber, Rejzlen, and Hindchen.
Frumet died in Frankfurt in 1649 followed by Löb in 1655.

Frankfurt died in about 1623.

Frankfurt,"zum Kanne" Worms married Edel
BACHARACH
(c.
1600 in Frankfurt), daughter of Schmul and Hindel von Bruchsal, in 1619
and and had
children: Abraham, Sorle, Samuel Wolf (1630), Moses (c.
1635), Lejzer, and Hindche.
While Jews were expelled from
Frankfurt, the family lived in Heidelberg. Simon died
in Worms in 1664 followed by Edel in 1668.
- Abrahm OPPENHEIM "zum Kanne" Worms, "zum Drachen"
Frankfurt and had a son: David (1664). He died in Frankfurt in 1693.
- David OPPENHEIM, Chief Rabbi of Prague, married Gnendl, daughter of Leffmann Behrends of Hanover. David died in Prague in 1736.
- Sorle
OPPENHEIMER married Rabbi Isaac BRILIN
of Mannheim,
son
of Meschulam Eliezer Susmann, and had children, including: Hindel.
Sorle died in 1673
followed by Isaac in 1678.
- Samuel
Wolf OPPENHEIMER, a famous court Jew, had children including,
Frumet and
Simon
Wolf. Samuel died in Wien in 1703.
- Frumet OPPENHEIMER married Josef GUGGENHEIM and had
children,
including Abraham (c.1700). Abraham's daughter Frumet (1737)
married the Jewish philosopher Moses
MENDELSSOHN. Their grandson was composer Felix
MENDELSSOHN.
- Simon Wolf OPPENHEIMER, a court Jew,
married Frade BEHRENDS, granddaughter of financier Leffmann,
and had a son, Jacob Wolf.
- Jacob Wolf OPPENHEIMER continued the family
banking
business and employed Mayer
Amschel ROTHSCHILD as an apprentice in Hanover in 1757.
- Moses OPPENHEIMER married Hendlin
and
had
a
son,
Juda Löb. They lived in Heidelberg and then Wien, where Hendlin died in
1696.
- Juda Löb OPPENHEIM married Chawa BACHARACH,
daughter
of
Joir Chaim and
Sara nee BRILIN,
lived in Hemsbach, and had children, including: Simon and Moses Löb.
Juda Löb died in 1701.
- Simon OPPENHEIMER, a rabbi and tax collector,
had a
son, Juda Löb, and died in Hemsbach in 1753.
- Juda Löb OPPENHEIMER and his wife Rechle
had
at
least
two
sons, Simon (1758) and Herz (1759). He died in Hemsbach, Baden, in 1772.
- Simon OPPENHEIMER married Gütle
OPPENHEIMER
and
had
six
children: Chaim (1789), Hayum (1792), Sara (1793), Legisch (1794),
Huendge (1799), and Löw (1801). When Guetle died in 1811, Simon
married Frument, daughter of Jakob, in 1816 and had four more children:
Gidel (1817), Samuel (1820), Jakob (1823), and Enta (1826).
- Hayum OPPENHEIMER died in 1836.
- Löw OPPENHEIMER died in 1879.
- Jakob OPPENHEIMER died in 1824.
- Herz OPPENHEIMER married Rebekka,
daughter
of
Isaak,
and
had at least eight children in Hemsbach, Baden: Rachel (1793), Simon
(1798), Babette (1799), Jakob (1801), Rosina (1803), Chaim (1807),
Maier (1809), and Zacharias (1814).
- Babette OPPENHEIMER married Liebmann EMRICH, son of Feiss
and Bräunle nee SCHRIESHEIM,
in Hemsbach in 1823. They had five
children: Joseph (1823), Regina (1826), Feiss (1830), Isaak (1833), and
Moses (1839).
- Moses Löb OPPENHEIM had a son, Zacharias
(1715) in Hemsbach.
- Zacharias OPPENHEIM had sons, Löb (1740) and
Hayum (1745), and died in Waibstadt, Germany, in 1760.
- Lejzer OPPENHEIM died in 1628.
- Hindche OPPENHEIM married Mosche MAINZ "zum Salm"
Frankfurt and died in 1705.
- Herz OPPENHEIM "zum weissen Becher" Frankfurt died 6
Jun 1690.
- Todres OPPENHEIM "zum silb. Kanne" Frankfurt
died 18 Sep 1697.
- Ber OPPENHEIM "zum Einhorn" Frankfurt married Gutle BONN (1585),
daughter of Moses Aharon and Hennel nee BINGEN, and had children,
including: Aron Naphtali Herz (whose 3rd great grandson, Salomon OPPENHEIM, Jr., founded the Sal. Oppenheim private bank in Bonn in 1789). Gutle died in Frankfurt in 1681 followed
by Ber in 1695.
- Rejzlen married Jouzbel WETZLAR "cum roten Tu." She
then married Mosche haKohen "zum grunen Schild" and died 29 VII 1689.
- Hindchen married Zanwel GELNHAUSEN "zum Stege" and died
20 III 1632.
- Gumpricht OPPENHEIM "zum Schwert" Frankfurt died in about
1630.
- Sorlen
married Zanwel HASE "zum goldene Bar" and died in 1633.
- Ziskind OPPENHEIM "zum Riesen" Worms was Gemeindevorsteher
(community leader) in Worms and had children: Beifus and Edel. He died
in 1630.
- Amschel OPPENHEIM "zum Esel" Frankfurt died in 1573.
- Juzabel OPPENHEIM "zum weissen Lowen" died in about 1598.
