Joseph STEINSBERG (1866) from Bucharest, son of Jacob and Fany nee WOLBRON, married Clara
nee
SCHWARTZ
(1869) from Romania, daughter of Bernard. They had children:
Albert (1890), Eva (1891), Bessie (1893) in Quebec, Canada; Nettie
(1895), Lizzie (1897) and Jeanette
(1899) in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After Clara died in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1918,
Joseph returned to Quebec and married Rose REINER from Cleveland,
daughter of Louis and Esther nee SANDROVITZ. They moved to Cleveland,
where Joseph died in 1931.
- Bessie STEINSBERG married Joseph
SINGER and had at least one daughter, Florence (1916), in Canada. They
later lived in New York, NY.
- Lizzie "Lillian" STEINSBERG married Louis COHEN from Quebec,
Canada, son of Frank and Sarah nee FICKLER, in
Burlington, Vermont, in 1916. They had at least one childin Cleveland,
Ohio: Bernard
Rudolph (1917). After a divorce, Lillian married Jack BALTIMORE and
died in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1956.
- Jeanette "Jean" STEINSBERG married Adolph BLUMENTHAL, son of
Joseph and Katie, in Cleveland in 1922.
